 Industry Update - March 2013 - No. 101

Queensland Gaming Revenue Trend 

March 2013 has produced positive gaming revenue growth for Queensland Hotels and Clubs.

Total state gaming revenue has increased 1.16% on March 2012.

The growth and decline that the gaming industry (as a result of the 100% non smoking ban introduced 1 August 2006, and economic factors) has experienced since August 2006 on a yearly month on month basis are illustrated in the following graph.

The Office of Liquor & Gaming Regulation have now upgraded their statistics to use the 2011 Census data Statistical Area Level 4 reporting areas.

A comparison of each area to the same month last year and also 30 June financial YTD performance is outlined below:

Marketing Manager - Logan Diggers
Logan Diggers is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Marketing Manager at Logan Diggers.  This important role is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised individual who has the ability to think creatively and will enjoy the challenge of continuing to drive the exposure of Logan's No. 1 Club.

Duty Manager and Operations Manager - Gallopers Sports Club
An exciting opportunityexists for the right candidates to join a growing team of professionals at Gallopers Sports Club.  If you want to be rewarded for effort, if you want to be part of a master plan that involves a whole new precinct, if you have drive and want to rise above the pack this is the place for you!

The Operations Manager role will give you the opportunity to be involved in the strategic future of the Club, supervision of stagg to ensure various standards are observed, assisting in the daily operations of the gaming room and administrative duties including analysis and interpretation of membership databases, operation of POS systems and Jupiter's Integration.  The successful candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills, attention to detail, a current Queensland RSA, RSG, Approved Manager License and Queensland Keno Operator License.  Possession of Responsible Manager of Licensed Venue an advantage. 

The Duty Manager role will see you responsible for staff selection, rostering, mjeetings, communication, training, discipline, appraisals and other HR functions for the Operational Staff within the Club's policies and procedures.  It also includes supervision of staff in the gaming, function, catering and bar areas, security and safety checks of the facility, assistance to the General Manager and Operations Manager.  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of all operational areas within the Club and will take proactive actions in meeting customer requirements.  Posession of a current Queensland RSA, RSG and Approved Managers License is essential.  Responsible Manager of Licensed Venue and experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

Club Manager - Yeronga Services Club
The Yeronga Services Club is seeking an experienced General Manager to drive and manage the club operations that consist of two venues.  You will be required to have strong communication skills, hold the appropriate qualifications and have experience in staff supervision, marketing, administration, food, bar, functions and gaming operation.
