Industry Update - January 2012 - No. 87 

January 2012 has experienced positive gaming revenue growth for Queensland hotels and Clubs.

Total state gaming revenue is only up 0.4% on January 2011.

QLD Gaming Revenue Trend
Total State net metered win in Queensland gaming venues in January 2012 has increased by $561,639 or 0.4% when compared to January 2011.

The difference in State net metered win for January 2012 and January 2010 shows an increase of 7.32%  

A detailed breakdown by statistical division for January 2012 is as follows:

Central West experienced an extremely large increase when compared to January 2011.  Mackay and North West also experienced a large increase when compared to January 2011.

Darling Downs, Far North, Gold Coast, South West, Sunshine Coast, West Moreton and Wide Bay Burnett shows a decrease in the metered win from January 2011 to January 2012.

The growth and the decline that the gaming industry (as a result of the 100% non smoking ban introduced 1 July 2006 and economic factors) has experienced since July 2006 on a yearly month on month basis are illustrated in the following graph.
