Industry Update - February 2012 - No. 88

February 2012 has experienced positive gaming revenue growth for Queensland hotels and Clubs.

Total state gaming revenue is only up 2.6% on February 2012.

QLD Gaming Revenue Trend
Total State net metered win in Queensland gaming venues in February 2012 has increased by $364,916 or 2.6% when compared to February 2011.

The difference in State net metered win for February 2012 and February 2010 shows an increase of 10%  

A detailed breakdown by statistical division for February 2012 is as follows:

Fitzroy, Mackay and South West experienced an extremely large increase when compared to February 2011.

Far North, Northern, West Moreton and Wide Bay Burnett Shows a decrease in the metered win from February 2011 to February 2012.

The growth and the decline that the gaming industry (as a result of the 100% non smoking ban introduced 1 July 2006 and economic factors) has experienced since July 2006 on a yearly month on month basis are illustrated in the following graph.
